The successful candidate will be well-versed in graphic design and must be able to teach web design, motion graphics, and illustration. The teaching load is three 4 credit courses per academic semester. Faculty may also have an opportunity to teach courses in the College’s Integrative Studies Program. Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental activities and campus-wide service, maintaining an active record of scholarship, and engaging in professional development.
The Art & Design program at Keene State College provides a strong foundation in Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Graphic Design. Students can earn their B.A. and B.F.A. degrees in Studio Art and Graphic Design, a Dual B.F.A. in both Studio Art and Graphic Design, as well as minors in Studio Art, Graphic Design, and Arts Management.
Our students come from diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds, with a high percentage of first-generation college students. By the time Keene State College students complete their undergraduate experience they develop critical thinking, creative inquiry, intercultural competence, civic engagement, and commitments to well-being and to sustainability that will serve them as active citizens and lifelong learners. - Strong proficiency in typography (static and kinetic)
- Motion graphics and animation using After Effects (and other animation software)
- Web design in UX/UI using HTML, CSS, and Adobe XD)
- Illustration in a range of styles and media for editorial and narrative applications
- Adobe Suite (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and XD)
