Position Summary

The Research Associate participates in ongoing laboratory research projects, performing and assisting in experiments on the cellular-molecular mechanisms of RPE–photoreceptor interactions.

 

Essential Functions         

  • Participates in ongoing laboratory research projects, performing and assisting in experiments on the cellular-molecular mechanisms of RPE–photoreceptor interactions.
  • Oversees animal experimentation.
  • Works under direct supervision of principal investigator.
  • Assists in tutoring undergraduate students performing laboratory work.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience         

  • BS in biology or related field required
  • Up to 3 years of experience

 

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills       

  • Prior experience in retinal biology research and small rodent handling and husbandry
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • MS or PHD

 

Minimum Starting Salary: $46,000

 

Maximum Starting Salary: $60,000

 

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
