Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the field of Built Heritage Conservation in the Division of Landscape Architecture in the Department of Architecture (Ref. 523933), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

The Division is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in built heritage conservation and cultural landscape management practices and conventions.  Applicants should hold a terminal degree in a subject area relevant to architecture, conservation or urban studies.  Applicants should have more than three years of experience in teaching at the university level, and preference will be given to those with experience in building international collaborations and leading curriculum development.  We seek individuals who maintain strong networks of regional and international partners in the conservation and built heritage field.

The successful candidate will contribute to and sustain our leadership in the area of built-environment conservation in the Asia-Pacific region.  The appointee will be responsible for teaching seminars, electives, or studio courses within the Division's Master of Science in Conservation program, as well as taking up the role of Program Director to lead the overall strategic planning and curriculum development of the unit.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary.
