About the University:
California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) opened in 2002 as the newest campus in the California State University system. The Martin V. About the Position:
The Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics Master of Business Administration program seeks a pool of qualified applicants for temporary part-time teaching assignments in Finance. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis and recruitment is ongoing. Assignments include evening and online courses and may include weekend courses.
Minimum Degree Requirements:
MBA with concentration in finance and active professional with industry experience.
- MBA with a concentration in Finance, or a graduate degree in a related area;
- Demonstrated preparation for teaching Finance at a university level;
- Applicants should demonstrate the commitment to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population and evidence of how they would successfully mentor students with special focus on Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students.
- PhD in finance or PhD in any business discipline;
- 5+ years full-time finance work experience;
- A record of effective teaching with a variety of methodologies;
- Work/consulting experience in private or public sector related to Business & Economics.
- Teach one or more classes as assigned and as student demand allows. Conduct and turn in assessment activities as outlined each semester.

Placement into a range is based on qualifications and experience. Initial assignments are typically at the bottom third of the salary range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
