Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Associate Program Director of AAP oversees and manages, general program operations and special projects including, but limited to (1)strategic liaison with both internal and external stakeholders and foster effective collaboration with AAP staff, campus and community partners, (2) develop, produce and distribute program marketing materials and publication-including website monitoring/updates, program updates, and annual stakeholders reports and coordinate alumni outreach and communications (3) support program directors with strategic event planning and coordination, (4) and (5) manage special projects, support grant writing data collection and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
A master’s degree in one of the following areas: Higher Education Administration, Business Administrative, Communications or other related areas.

Experience:
  • 4-7 years of experience working in higher education or similar environment.
  • Experience working closely with leadership. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abiliites:
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines and projects.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and speaking skills. 
  • Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to work with all levels of staff.

  • Trio Experience
  • Experience working with sponsored projects
  • Community advocacy experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations including low-income and first generation college students or related population.
