The Coordinator, ERC will play a vital role in supporting the Employee Resource Center organization and facilitating various disciplines within the HR functions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the human capital management system, managing department mailboxes, resolving Employee issues and concerns, supporting training initiatives and programs including New Employee Orientation, onboarding, offboarding, and supporting other general HR duties associated with effective operations. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees, managers, and external partners, ensuring that HR processes are efficient, compliant, and contribute to a positive work environment.

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing welcome materials and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and electronic. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries. Address and escalate employee concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support benefits enrollment processes and provide information to employees about available benefits packages. Collaborate with benefits providers to address employee queries and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports and analytics, including employee turnover records, attendance sheets, and other relevant HR metrics. Assist in data analysis to identify trends and make informed HR decisions.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and workshops. Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to ensure employees have access to relevant training opportunities.
  • Support the performance appraisal process by collecting and organizing performance evaluations. Assist in monitoring performance review timelines and follow up on outstanding evaluations.
  • Stay updated on HR laws and regulations to ensure company policies align with legal requirements. Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, such as scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining HR-related documents.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Required and preferred knowledge and experiences to succeed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience defined as minimum 6 years related, combined experience in employment, education, knowledge, and skills that will enable the incumbent to perform the tasks of the role proficiently. However, candidates with relevant work experience or an Associate’s degree may be considered.

Work Experience:

  • In conjunction with a Bachelor’s degree, minimum 2-year experience as HR Assistant, Coordinator, and/or Specialist or similar role.
  • While not mandatory, certifications such as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) can enhance a candidate's qualifications.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and maintaining employee records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR software systems.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a diverse workplace.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address employee queries and HR-related issues.
  • Customer service orientation to provide excellent support to employees and stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in the HR field.
