The Marilyn Davies College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown (MDCOB – UHD) invites applications for tenure track positions of Assistant Professor or Associate Professors of Accounting. MDCOB – UHD is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). MDCOB – UHD enrolls approximately 2,500 undergraduate, and more than 1,100 graduate students; and employs 14 full-time accounting faculty members. The home campus for this position is the Downtown Houston campus but may comprise teaching assignments on UHD’s Northeast and Northwest campuses.

Position Description: Candidate must demonstrate evidence of, or potential for, high-quality teaching and scholarship. The position is a full-time time 9-month, tenure-track appointment that requires teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting courses scheduled during daytime, evening, and weekend hours; in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.

Required Qualifications:

• An earned Ph.D. or a D.B.A. in accounting from an AACSB-accredited business school is required; ABD candidates with guaranteed completion of a Ph.D. or DBA no later than July 2024 may apply. All areas in accounting are considered.
