Duties


- Provide senior leadership and strategic direction to the organization
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's operations
- Lead and supervise staff members, ensuring effective team performance
- Foster a positive organizational culture and promote teamwork and collaboration
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to enhance organizational growth
- Manage budgets and financial resources effectively
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
- Represent the organization to external stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and donors
- Oversee project management activities and ensure timely completion of projects
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

Location: Saint Joseph, MO (Serving Northwest Missouri and surroundings).

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director who shares our passion for the performing arts and our commitment to fostering creativity, diversity, and joy in our community. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving growth, and ensuring the continued success of our organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Continue to expand, develop, and execute a strategic vision for the association that aligns with current mission and values.
  • Resource Development: Lead fundraising efforts, cultivate donor relations, and secure financial resources to support our programs and initiatives.
  • Program Excellence: Oversee the planning and execution of world-class performances and events, ensuring a diverse and captivating lineup.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including artists, patrons, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Financial Management: Manage the association's budget, financial sustainability, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Implement effective marketing and outreach strategies to engage and expand our audience base.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to the success of our mission.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit, arts, or cultural organization.
  • A deep appreciation for the performing arts and a passion for our mission.
  • Strong fundraising and donor relations skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Creative and innovative thinking.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and or equivalent work experience.

Pay: $47,610.00 - $53,184.00 per year
