The Catalight Clinical Excellence team is dedicated to developing and deploying strategic clinical standards, training, and research to advance the delivery of the highest quality care across the Family of Companies (FoC). This will include how the FoC defines clinical standards, develops new intervention modalities, and measures outcomes going forward so that people can live their best lives. The Catalight Clinical Excellence team embraces the critical importance of relevant data and meaningful information in promotion of a clinical ecosystem and informed decision making.

The Education and Research Associate will provide high level oversight and administrative support for the Clinical Excellence continuing education programs, publications and presentations, database management, program development and day-to-day functioning. Our mission is to synthesize our collective knowledge and redefine clinical pathways to improve outcomes for people with developmental disabilities while promoting equitable, inclusive, accessible, and justice-driven research design and development.

This role will report to the Vice President of Care and Program Design and will contribute to long-term planning and vision implementation through identification of research, strategic clinical operational initiatives, collaboration, prioritization, communication, and evaluation of results, while preserving the FoC’s reputation for integrity and excellence.

 
Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions
  • Continuing Education Programs:
    • Oversee all continuing education activities, including report preparation to credentialing agencies (e.g., California Psychological Association), data tracking and recordkeeping, responding directly to employees/learners.
    • Serve as a system administrator for learning management systems to manage coursework.
    • Provide high quality customer service to all customers.
    • Manage ticketing system and assignment of incoming customer inquiries.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for Qualtrics to manage continuing education programs and clinical excellence survey needs.
    • Manage Post Graduate Certification Program by supporting CRI team research efforts, and researching resources (internet searches)
    • Monitor regulatory accreditation requirements for maintaining various program accreditations to ensure ongoing conformance.
    • Provide administrative support for various clinical excellence committees.
  • Research Activities:
    • Administer journal/other publication submission process: serve as point of contact for staff and publication reps, obtain guidance and requirements for authors, track submissions, follow up as needed to ensure timely submissions and adherence to deadlines.
    • Manage and track conference submissions.
    • Coordinate review process for manuscript submissions, guidelines, and conference submissions
    • Manage research databases including Mendeley, Zotero and CRI Clinical Library:
    • Gather, process, and analyze research articles.
    • Organize information relevant to all research activities.
    • Coordinate with Business Intelligence department for needed data.
    • Establish criteria for database inclusion and monitor database entries.
  • General Operations:
    • Support the Clinical Excellence team with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling, proofreading, etc.
    • Develop and update processes and SOPs to maximize operational efficiency.
    • Develop templates and documents.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
Qualifications
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
  • 3+ years related work experience, preferably in an administrative or research support setting.
  • Scientific writing experience (literature reviews).
  • Experience with Zotero or similar research databases preferred.
  • Experience with survey design and logic preferred.
  • Learning Management System experience preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
 
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
  • A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (Jira a plus).
  • Highly skilled with research-supporting systems and applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), database systems, and internet searches; building spreadsheets, forms, and templates.
  • Proficient in basic project management work and able to work with a project manager as needed.
  • Skilled in requesting data in an explicit manner.
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team structure.
  • Work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment while effectively multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities without supervision.
  • Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
  • Must be highly detail oriented.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language with the workplace.
  • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff, and others in the workplace continuously.
  • Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
  • Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.
  • Ability to utilize virtual meetings software (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
 
Conditions of Employment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Must attend any required training.

Compensation:

$98,000 - $105,000
