Primary Purpose

 

Model for drawing, painting, sculpture, and other art-related classes. Assist in teaching of human proportions, body alignments, anatomy and structure, movement, foreshortening, and body-clothing relationships to students in the classes. Work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours. The position may entail nude modeling, the ability to hold poses for up to 20 minutes at a time and the ability to be on one's feet (with 5 minute breaks every 20 minutes) for up to 4 hours.

This is a temporary position for no more than 520 hours per fiscal year. Schedule will vary depending on class schedule.

 

Description of Essential Functions

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Modeling (100% of Time)

  • Posing: May be asked to do a variety of poses for either a short period of time or possibly an extended period of time.
  • May be required to pose nude occasionally for specific courses.
  • A requirement of the job is modelling nude so that the class can learn surface anatomy and the forms and proportions of the human body.
