Job Purpose
Provide high quality customer service to the College and job applicants. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Oversee and maintain employee personnel records.

Position Description

  • Serving as the initial contact for employees, students, and visitors coming to the Human Resources office and assuring positive interaction occurs.
  • Update and maintain all personnel records active and inactive for Human Resources.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to email inquiries and routing to the appropriate individuals.
  • Scan employee documents to the electronic filing system, Perceptive Content.
  • Prescreen applicants in the applicant tracking system, ApplicantStack.
  • Provide administrative support in the following areas, but not limited to performance evaluations, employee engagement initiatives, and new hire documentation.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer or the Director of Employee Relations.

  • Ability to always maintain the highest level of professionalism and strictest of confidentiality.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student and employee population.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and establish credibility with all levels of employees in the organization.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Position Qualifications and/or Education

Minimum Qualifications and/or Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in an office setting.

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience working in Human Resources
  • Bilingual.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, sit, and occasionally push or lift items. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule
Up to 29 hours per week, during regular hours of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hours to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
