Hours Worked: 40+/week

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Duties include assisting in the staffing process by advertising for open positions, employee onboarding, implementing company hiring/welcoming procedures, and processing payroll updates. This includes being knowledgeable about all aspects of hiring/firing, compensation, labor relations, benefits, OSHA, HIPAA, and employee services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • One year of previous human resources administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of Nevada federal and state employment laws.
  • Reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Present in neat appearance in proper attire as required by the position, facility, and handbook policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all center and patient information at all times, as required by facility policy and HIPAA guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. The following are the essential functions of the job.

Duties:

1. Assist with the staffing process by advertising for open positions, onboarding process, and implementing company hiring/welcoming procedures.

2. Assist with maintaining personnel records including employee files, medical confidential files, I9 forms, etc. per governmental regulations.

3. Assist with gathering, preparing, and maintaining documentation regarding employee disputes.
4. Stay abreast of procedures for compliance with state-mandated employee training and company-required training for sexual harassment, OSHA, and HIPAA.
5. Monitor pre-employment testing (drug testing and background check) and maintain compliance with the E-

Verify program.
6. Performs payroll functions assigned to the HR department.
7. Knowledge of benefit programs such as pension plans (401K, Profit Sharing Plan, DB), Short Term Disability insurance, and group health insurance. (Preferred not Required)
8. Knowledge of company insurance policies such as EPLI, Worker Compensation, Business Office Insurance,

Umbrella, Cyber Liability, and Medical Malpractice Insurance. (Preferred not Required)
9. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
10. Develop and nurture strong relationships with all staff members to create a trusted, positive work environment.

✓ Seeing This position consistently requires acute visual abilities to enter patient data in the RIS system, document information for the patient’s electronic chart and read patient related documents, authorization forms, insurance verification documentation, insurance cards, physician requests, and other job-related paperwork to carry out essential job duties.

Explanation: This position is moderately monitored by the Director of Physician Relations and Human Resources.

Does this position have supervisory responsibility (i.e. responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, etc.)? No

Does this position have access to confidential information? Yes
Explanation: This position has access to confidential information such as social security numbers, dates of birth, medical license numbers, and HIPAA information for all doctors and employees of RAN and PMI.

Does this position have access to or handle company funds? Yes
Explanation: This position has access to all employee bank accounts and payroll information.

Is it important to this position the incumbent be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English? Yes
Explanation: Most affiliated personnel (i.e. staff, doctors, vendors, and affiliated hospital/locations) and a majority of our patients communicate with our administrative office in English.

What kind of work experience (including length of time), training, and/or level of education is necessary for this position? This position requires a minimum of 1 year experience in human resources. Knowledge of employment laws and state mandated training Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, OSHA compliance, retirement plans, health insurance,
FLMA, etc. The Human Resource Generalist must be able to read, write and interpret reports and correspondence. The individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills needed for daily communication with patients, staff, vendors, doctors, direct report and billing company and medical carriers. Effective interpersonal skills are required for a successful work environment. Bilingual ability is preferred, but not required.

List any technical skills (typing, computer skills, etc.): The skills required by this position include, but are not limited to, typing, computer literacy, faxing, scanning, copying, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Working Conditions

Are there particular working conditions associated with this position that should be noted (i.e., working environment, hours of work, travel, work space, etc.)? Yes
Explanation: This position requires travel to affiliated hospitals, outpatient facilities and business meetings. The working environment is in an office setting that is quiet. This position will carry out his/her duties in an average sized workspace.
The hours of work may vary. They will be approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
