Neonatal Transport Nurse
- BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible and accountable for the nursing care provided to assigned patients at Children's Hospital and at referral/contracted facilities. Acts in the role of Team Leader for the Neonatal Transport Team in a non-physician accompanied team and is responsible for the assessment of patient's status. Develops, implements, and documents plan of care for critically ill neonates during transport.
- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. Registered Nurse from an accredited school required.
- Minimum Work Experience
- 2 years Level III NICU experience required. Transport experience preferred.
- Required Licenses/Certifications for position
- NRP certification required. Nursing Licensures in State of Tennessee required.
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
