Position Title: Assistant Professor of Finance

Position Type: Full-Time

Department: School of Business

The School of Business at Augustana University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance beginning Fall 2024.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Support the School of Business’ course offerings in Finance and Fintech at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching load is three classes in the Fall and Spring semesters and one course in the January term.
• Demonstrate a record of scholarly activity and research in the area of Finance.
• Contribute to student success through advising and mentoring.
• Engage in service to the department, university, and community.
• Outreach with local and regional businesses.

Required Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Finance or a related field. Candidates with professional experience and a Master’s Degree will also be considered.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in advanced Finance at the university level.
• Professional or teaching experience in Fintech is highly desired.

Interacting with students, faculty and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and culture must be a top value of the candidate.
