Description

: 

We invite applications for an Assistant, Associate or Full Research Professor position with specialized expertise in nanocomposites, materials synthesis, especially focusing on mesoporous materials synthesis and 2D materials and deep polymer materials processing expertise. The ideal candidate will contribute to groundbreaking research efforts in renewable energy, catalysis, and biomedical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
        •       Lead innovative research projects in the domain of nanocomposites and mesoporous materials synthesis.
        •       Lead innovative research projects in the domain of polymer processing including nanofiber and nanocomposites.
        •       Focus on applications pertaining to renewable energy, catalysis, and biomedical fields.
Publication & Dissemination:
        •       Maintain a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
        
Grant Proposals & Funding:
        •       Pursue and secure external funding opportunities through grants, fellowships, and partnerships.
        •       Manage grant budgets and ensure adherence to grant compliance and support independent long-term and self-sufficient R&D                        activities
Mentorship & Supervision:
        •       Supervise and mentor graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and junior faculty members.
        •       Provide guidance in experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
                Collaboration & Networking:
        •       Foster collaborative relationships within the department, across the university, and with external research institutes and industries.
        •       Engage with stakeholders in renewable energy, catalysis, and biomedical sectors.

Qualifications

: 

PhD in Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field
Proven expertise in nanocomposites, materials synthesis, and particularly mesoporous
materials synthesis, 2 D materials and polymer processing.
An excellent record of publications in high-impact journals.
Demonstrated success in obtaining and managing research grants.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in holding high level administrative related to academic programs and research.
Preferred Qualifications:
        •       Prior experience in university-level teaching or mentoring.
        •       A network of contacts in the renewable energy, catalysis, and biomedical sectors.
        •       Experience with interdisciplinary research collaborations and with international institutions.
