Description

The Department of Neuroscience and Center for Computational Brain Science at Brown University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Stephanie Jones. The Jones lab develops a neural modeling software to bring human EEG/MEG signals to the underlying cell and circuit level generation that can be interrogated in animal models called The Human Neocortical Neurosolver. They also develop analysis tools to study electrophysiological signals in no traditional ways. The hired postdoc will work on expanding and applying the multi-scale HNN modeling framework to study the mechanisms and meaning of slow brain oscillations in behavior, using a data constrained framework.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include: 

• Ph.D in Neuroscience, Computer Science, and or related field 

• Experience in Computational Neuroscience Methods 

• Neuroscience experience and strong python programming skills are required 

• Experience building and/ or using neural models 

• Familiarity with analysis of electrophysiological signals
