The Faculty of Arts and Sciences are the largest academic unit at Rutgers–Camden, delivering a wide array of degree programs at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and fine arts. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences includes three schools: the College of Arts and Sciences , University College , and the Graduate School .
Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden Faculty of Arts and Sciences seeks a Program Coordinator I. The Program Coordinator will provide administrative and coordination support for the students, faculty, and programs of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities (MARCH) at Rutgers- Camden. Working under the direction of the MARCH Director, plans and implements new programming and communications (including social media, online and print advertising, web site management and in-person presentations). Monitors spending and tracks grant and endowment expenditures for the Center. Leads the development, organization and overall strategy for ongoing programs of the Center, including the MARCH Continuing Education Programs. Researches, identifies and writes grants to support the activities of the Center. Provides administrative support for the Center including scheduling of events, programs, and serving as the liaison for the Center.
This position is partially contingent upon continuation of grant and endowment funding.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, preferably in a humanities focused field. Candidate should have a minimum of two years experience in higher education administration or experience of relevance.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent communication skills and computer literacy are required. Experience in public history, community outreach and/or public scholarship are required.
Preferred Qualifications
A graduate degree preferred but commensurate experience in public history practice equally valued. Experience or interest in Environmental Humanities preferred. Experience in grant writing and/or management is highly preferred.
