Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue education and experience in research under the supervision of Dr. Kichoon Lee in the Department of Animal Sciences, for
a period generally not to exceed three years; performs basic science and applied research in the field of Muscle/Adipose Biology including production of
knock-out avian species using CRISPR/Cas9 system; identifies and selects problems to be studied in agreement with Principal Investigator; plans and
performs complex experiments and procedures; coordinates, collects, and analyzes data; prepares research results for publication in reports, papers, journal,
books, presentations, conference and other media; prepare seminars, talks, and lectures; supervise over assigned research staff and students; assists with
laboratory techniques and operates laboratory equipment; performs basic lab maintenance duties; maintains lab supplies; and other duties as assigned.
Strong experience for producing animals using CRISPR/Cas9 system and publication record in 3 years; Strong analytical and writing skills; Ability to work in
an independent environment with moderate supervision; Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be requested to
complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
