Position Summary

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately to work on single-cell and spatial biology multiomics projects in the Jain Lab at the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis.   We are studying how the human kidney is organized at anatomical and molecular scales in healthy and disease conditions across life span.

Candidates may refer to our recent papers in this area at https://sites.wustl.edu/jainlab/publications/ .  The project will include the generation and analysis of single-cell gene expression and epigenomic profiles from human kidneys to determine key biological processes occurring in different functional tissue units and neighborhoods by applying state-of-the-art technologies and analytical methods.

Required Qualifications

Expertise (first author publication in a peer-reviewed journal) and interest in the above areas and a Ph.D., MD, or MD/Ph.D.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
