Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II for the Clinical Research Center at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Clinical Research Coordinator II under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager of Clinical Research Center (PCRC) will assist with subject recruitment, consenting, data entry, phlebotomy, and other clinical trial activities of the PCRC. These activities may also include preparation of documents for submission to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Continuing Reviews, submission of Amendments and Modifications. The Clinical Research Coordinator II will assist in all aspects of CRC protocols. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Coordinates and assists with carrying out clinical trial aspects for the PCRC.
  •  Assists with recruitment, consenting, data entry.
  • Prepares, manages and completes all aspects of regulatory document submission to pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations.
  • Provides guidance and updates on regulatory requirements and IRB submissions to the project teams, Nurse Manager and Director.
  •  Ensures that staff’s Health and Safety Training and Continuing Education Records are current and up-to-date.
  • Manages and prepares regulatory submissions for Investigator initiated projects, INDs and HUDs.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor degree minimum plus 2 yrs experience in Clinical research regulatory affairs.  
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP), and Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPPA) regulations and possess a considerable understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. 
  • Must be capable of independent decision-making, and multitasking. 
  • To be successful, the candidate must have excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Association of Clinical Research Professional (ACRP) certification or Society of Clinical Research Associates (CCRP).
