Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.
Under the direction of the Brain Health Institute (BHI), and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) within Rutgers Biomedical & Health Sciences (RBHS), we seek a Clinical Research Coordinator II.
 Successful applicant(s) will serve as a staff within the new Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center at BHI. The Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center is a new center within BHI at Rutgers University with the mission of establishing an interdisciplinary, integrated program to provide comprehensive research focused on prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. This center is the first of its kind in New Jersey.  
We seek a bachelor’s or master’s level Clinical Research Coordinator with experience in participant recruitment and coordination, and collection and management of quantitative data. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including neurologists, neuropsychologists, and neuropathologists, on a clinician-scientist track. Applicants should have an interest in studying preclinical Alzheimer’s disease. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Conducting human subjects research using appropriate interview techniques.
  • Coordinating and assisting in research activities, including obtaining informed consent, screening participants for eligibility, and maintaining study records.
  • Writing visit reports, filing and collecting research compliance documentation, and reporting adverse event reports. 
  • Providing overall study monitoring and protocol compliance per GCP guidelines, HIPAA, IRB and institutional and sponsor guidelines. 
  • Maintaining source documents and subject files in accordance with Rutgers policies and procedures. 
  • Attending continuing education and compliance training as necessary.
  • Obtaining, preparing, and shipping clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
  • Preparing and submitting IRB progress reports.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of research related experience. 
  • Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully engage and communicate with study participants.
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm in helping achieve successful implementation of the new Cohort and contributing to cutting edge science. 
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including knowledge of proper business writing style and format. 
  • Experience with MS Office suite and other standard office software. 
  • Experience with Web conferencing programs such as Zoom. 
  • Experience with collaborative documents and programs such as Google Docs.
