Overview:

The Building Administrator will oversee both the Village and the Valor House within YOU, Inc.’s residential Wetzel Center. To this end, the Building Administrator will ensure the successful operations both EEC-licensed residential facilities. Both ITR and ER/IER programs operate 24-hour/day, 7-days a week, and as such the Building Administrator has responsibility to respond to critical programming needs at any hour. The Building Administrator will be responsible for the financial, regulatory, personnel, community relations, technological, and facility needs of running the residential program(s).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide successful strategic leadership for the residential program(s) and position the site/s to be at the forefront of providing clinical services. Programmatic success is defined as operating a clinically informed 24- hour/7-day-per-week milieu, providing the highest quality clinical care, meeting the budgeted financial expectations, and ensuring that all compliance standards are met. Examine, evaluate, and adjust program implementation to ensure that agency mission, vision, strategic goals and expected outcomes are met.
  • Monitor issues of risk and/or potential risk, and report issues of immediate concern to the Sr. Director and VP, and the CEO if needed. Monitor all data and reports related to census, documentation, licensure, programming, staffing, incidents, insurance eligibility & authorizations, facility, quality management, and other information as relevant.
  • Oversee the residential services such that all program specifications are met and/or oversee the residential care such that all policies and procedures of the agency’s licensed program(s) are met. Ensure that all contract obligations, training, quality assurance, licensure, compliance, fiscal standards, and building inspections are met and up to date.
  • Oversee personnel management including the hiring, training, supervising, evaluation, support, and performance management of staff and interns to be able to fulfill essential functions, develop professionally and provide excellent service delivery. Uphold the agency value and commitment to diversity and inclusion in staffing. Provide direct supervision to staff at the site as appropriate to credentialing, licensure, and programmatic expertise and as required by regulatory entities.
  • In conjunction with the Sr. Director and VP, develop a budget/s for the program. Monitor budgets regularly and ensure that all fiscal and census expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Compose oneself with professionalism, ethical practice, and compassionate regard for consumers/clients. To this end, the Building Administrator should demonstrate competency, reliability, honesty, integrity, respectfulness, continued learning, positivity, mutual support, effective collaboration, active listening, and attention to the responsibilities of the job. The Building Administrator should dress neatly, professionally, and appropriately to the situation.     • Complete physical interventions as required.
    • Oversight of kitchen staff assure all board of Health EEC requirements are being complied with
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Serve on inter-agency or external committees, as needed.
  • Attending all required
  • Represent the agency at community events, as appropriate.
  • May provide occasional trainings inside or outside the agency as needed, within the scope of expertise.
  • Provide direct clinical services and/or shift work as needed and/or as appropriate.
  • Serve as part of the on-call/after-hours rotation.
  • All other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Leadership, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience in related field
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of child/youth and family clinical care, as well as mental health, educational, developmental care, child welfare, and juvenile justice systems.
  • Proof of a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and personal transportation to fulfill essential job functions is required.
  • Privately owned vehicle has current and valid state registration and safety inspection sticker, is safe, and is ensured according to the minimum state requirements (pertaining to bodily injury and liability).
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, collaboration, and independent judgment.
  • Must be able to perform sedentary aspects of position, including, but not limited to desk and electronic work, driving to meetings and trainings, as well as driving/transporting clients as necessary.
  • Employee may be required to intervene in order to de-escalate and/or provide safety and if essential, provide physical management of clients, using methods and techniques approved by YOU, Inc. and appropriate to residential settings.
  • Employee needs to complete the agency’s orientation as well as human service worker safety.
  • Must be able to complete the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
