Position Summary:


The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS), is seeking a board certified academic specialist in gynecologic oncology to lead the Gynecologic Oncology Division for the department. Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.The faculty is highly involved in the education of residents, medical students, health related professionals, and other ancillary personnel in the Department.
In partnership with the Chair of the Department of OB/GYN, the Division Director will be responsible for (1) Faculty development; Budgeting and productivity oversight; (2) Support of research interests in the Division; (3) Support of education in the Division; (4) Development and maintenance of policies, QA, protocols and guidelines for ambulatory care that meet the goals of the department as well as hospital regulatory and quality requirements; (5) Take a lead in the development of process improvement projects to meet quality goals; (6) Development and fostering of a patient-centered approach to care that optimizes the patient experience while enhancing professional development; (7) Creating new ways of delivering care that maximize health outcomes by enhancing access to high quality care; (8) Integrating the OB/GYN gynecologic division into the larger mission and system of care of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, University Hospital (NJ's only public hospital) and other hospital partners in the Barnabas Healthcare System.

Minimum Education and Experience:


Qualified candidates must be board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Gynecologic Oncology and should have demonstrated outstanding qualifications in education, research and clinical care, including surgery, chemotherapy, and clinical/translational investigation . In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for lectures, didactic clinical instruction for residents, fellows, NJMS medical students and, if needed, dedicated research time.
