Posting Summary
Grounded in our history as leaders in family-centered HIV health care, the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center (FXB Center) at the Rutgers School of Nursing serves communities that are at greatest risk for health inequities. The FXB Center works to achieve this mission through translation of findings to practice and policy, education, and research. The Marketing Manager will manage the NJ Ends the HIV Epidemic (EtE) Awareness Campaigns funded by the New Jersey Department of Health and contribute to the marketing and communication strategy for FXB Center.
  • Values and delivers high-quality, professional, responsive, and innovative service.
  • Possesses strong graphic design, layout, and writing skills, with the ability to translate public health content and data into effective marketing and educational materials for print and web, “connecting the dots” across initiatives.
  • Develops marketing and communication strategy for designated projects and overall FXB Center.
  • Oversees design and implementation of EtE awareness campaigns: Develop campaign work plans; Facilitate communication with stakeholders; Contribute to campaign content; and Lead evaluation efforts.
  • Supervises Multimedia Specialist. Provides mentorship and coaching to the Multimedia Specialist to ensure their successful
  • coordination of multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines, with strong time and project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Assesses gaps in capacity to accomplish marketing and communication goals. Identifies and builds relationships with consultants, vendors and other partners to accomplish goals.
  • Ensures all publications adhere to established graphic conventions and standards, and are in compliance with Rutgers and funder marketing and communications policies.
  • In collaboration with Principal Investigator, maintains a direct and positive role with funding agency and partner organizations.
  • Assists PI with all grant reporting.
  • Monitor trends and best practices in public health messaging and media used to communicate with target markets

Minimum Education and Experience
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, marketing, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in digital communications and product development is required.
  • Experience in using social media platforms is required.
  • Ability to oversee multiple high-priority projects while meeting project deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Production experience with the following software is required: Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Mac and PC operating systems is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of issues impacting people with HIV and social determinants of health is desirable.

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
