Posting Summary	Grounded in our history as leaders in family-centered HIV health care, the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center (FXB Center) at the Rutgers School of Nursing serves communities that are at greatest risk for health inequities. The FXB Center works to achieve this mission through the translation of findings to practice and policy, education, and research. The Education Specialist provides clinical, educational, and capacity development expertise on the workforce development, clinical practice, and research program teams throughout the FXB Center. The Education Specialist will: Value and deliver high-quality, professional, responsive, and innovative service across all FXB Center grant programs. Conduct needs assessments to identify health provider education and capacity-building needs. Offer clinical expertise in the development of provider education activities and clinician support tools that utilize adult learning principles and strategies. Facilitate workshops and/or communities of practice targeting healthcare providers in the U.S. and in New Jersey. Develop and participate in scholarly writing and presentations at state and national conferences to publicize project work. Represent FXB Center as requested in state and national forums on HIV care and policy. Represent the FXB Center at meetings and conferences locally, statewide, and nationally. Supervise staff as assigned. Actively assist and support the development of individual skills and abilities so they can fulfill their job responsibilities more effectively. Provide timely guidance, feedback, and clarification of expectations.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Master’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education with at least 3 years of nursing experience, which can include experience in nursing education. Clinical experience within the past two years providing care to people with HIV and/or underserved populations. Knowledge of issues faced by high HIV-prevalence populations in New Jersey and the U.S. Excellent writing skills, including report writing.
Preferred Qualifications	A terminal degree (e.g., EdD, PhD, DNP) in a related field. Leadership experience in a clinical practice environment such as a Ryan White clinic, Federally Qualified Health Center, and/or other community health center.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals , if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
