Summary
The Section of Epidemiology and Population Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Coordinator, Business Operations. This position will function as the Postdoctoral coordinator for the section and will serve as the initial point of contact for faculty, Post-Doc Administration Office, and the International Services Office on Post-Docs matters including, appointments, on-boarding and processing Visa applications.
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Job Duties
- Responsible for managing Concur-related expenses including domestic travel for SECT program postdocs.
- Supply Chain/inventory management for SECT program postdocs.
- Completes and submits Post-Doc appointments and re-appointments using the PAPS Post Doc system.
- Works closely with faculty on Post-Doc appointments, on-boarding, and processing J-1 and H-1B visa applications and obtaining the required signatures.
- Serves as the initial Point of Contact for international students, Post-Docs, ISO, and Post-Doc office.
- Organizes Postdoctoral monthly journal club meetings, and events.
- Processes check requests and delivers checks and completed visa applications to the Internal Service Office (ISO) office.
- Provides additional support to Post-Docs as needed.
- Works closely with Section Administrator and team to develop best practices and internal controls that promotes operational efficiency and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Performs other job-related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with processing visa packets.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with faculty, ISO, and the Post-Doc office.
- Experience using Concur.
