Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Theragnostic Technologist for our busy Imaging Department. The Theragnostic Technologist performs radiopharmaceutical therapy on patients while maintaining patient care and safety during the procedure. This position will also assist the imaging team with injections and examinations. This position requires travel to any CSNF clinic or location that provides radiotherapy to patients. This technologist must be available to work a flexible work schedule.

The Theragnostic Technologist works under the supervision of the Lead Theragnostic Technologist with the clinical supervision of the authorized user. Performing radiopharmaceutical therapy procedures and responsible for oversite of all radiopharmaceutical therapy procedures and records. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Performs radiopharmaceutical therapy according to accepted standards of practice and protocols.
  • Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during the therapy procedure.
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs
  • Under guidance and approval of supervising physician, administers radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols
  • Performs ordered examinations (PET/CT and/or Diagnostic CT) of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician
  • If applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers’ guidelines
  • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and
  • Notifies all pertinent team members
  • Completes and signs the therapy consent form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient
  • Maintains a clean environment
  • Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures
  • Maintains current permits to practice
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification through an accredited Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiology Program.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of PET/CT experience and/or general nuclear medicine required
  • Radiopharmaceutical therapy experience required.
  • Familiar with state regulations

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current CNMT and/or ARRT (N).
  • For dual certified applicants, must hold CT certified license or be registry eligible.
