Impact Foundation Coordinator

The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must have a desire to work and personally grow in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The candidate should enjoy planning and executing the logistics required to host world-class meetings, trainings, and events held in-person, online, and in a hybrid format.

We are looking for someone with a positive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to draft and edit a multitude of documents including newsletters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other written products.

Impact Foundation

Impact Foundation serves charities, donors, and the larger community. Based in Fargo, North Dakota, it’s designed to be a vehicle for charity leaders to grow, innovate, and collaborate through ongoing coaching, training, and resource development. Its ultimate goal is to help individuals and organizations unleash their greatest potential to serve.

Impact was formed in 2004 through the innovative partnership of Impact Foundation, Dakota Medical Foundation, and the Alex Stern Family Foundation, which saw a pressing need for charities to substantially grow their capabilities to impact health and quality of life. Impact also serves as a co-host and fundraising guide for Giving Hearts Day, one of the first and longest-running giving days in the United States. Since 2008, Giving Hearts Day has helped charities raise nearly $165 million to improve health and quality of life across North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit various communications, including invites, emails, newsletters, and other writing and creative projects
  • Design and create PowerPoint presentations
  • Organize board meeting communications & logistics – scheduling, preparing agendas, packets & minutes, handling all meeting logistics & technology, and maintaining post meeting follow up items (minutes, next steps, etc)
  • Prepare, organize, and host a wide variety of meetings & events (in-person, online, hybrid formats)
  • Plan, organize, and host charity and business trainings – scheduling, preparing agendas, sending invites,
  • Organize, file and manage important reports, documentation, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Deliver a world-class customer service experience for board members, charity partners, members of the public, and internal team members
  • Assist and lead a year-round gratitude and kindness program
  • Plan and implement monthly team gatherings

Qualifications:

  • Excellent judgement in doing the right thing, the right way - Must be committed to excellence
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proactive and comfortable taking initiative
  • Associate’s degree and three (3) years of related experience required
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • A positive attitude is required
  • Must be reliable and possess a tremendous work ethic
  • Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with frequent evening and weekend hours, as needed
  • Strong passion for and proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Outlook, Dropbox
  • Social media experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with high levels of an organization
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging schedules and calendars
  • Ability to prepare and organize events in digital, in-person, and hybrid format
