JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Director, Teen Services

Department: Programs

Reports To: Vice President, Youth Development Programs & Grants

Status: Full Time – Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley is a premier youth development organization. Our programs, training, and services impact nearly 2,500 children and teens every year. We are in the midst of an unprecedented shift in our program strategy and are launching several new program initiatives. We are looking for qualified professionals with a passion for improving young lives, to help us impact the next generation of youth.
We are seeking a qualified Director, Teen Services to lead the development, launch, and execution of
BGCCV’s Teen Services Programs including an aggressive new strategy to recruit and retain teens in the organization.

The Director, Teen Services holds a strategic position overseeing programs and initiatives tailored for the teenage demographic across multiple all Boys & Girls Club locations. Their role is pivotal in crafting and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for teens across all clubs, aimed at nurturing growth, development, engagement, and empowerment.

This position will report to the Vice President, Youth Development Programs and will be a member of the organization’s Program Support Team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Program Development & Management

  • Develop, roll out, and monitor teen-focused programs across multiple locations, ensuring they meet the organization’s standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with individual club Teen Directors to customize programs based on specific community or location needs.
  • Continuously review, assess, and modify programs, gathering feedback from multiple locations to ensure maximum effectiveness and relevance.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and successful programs across different locations.

Staff Management and Training

  • Coordinate with Club Directors to recruit, train, and supervise Teen Directors and staff specifically handling teen services.
  • Develop and implement consistent training programs for staff across all locations, ensuring a unified approach to teen engagement and development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development for staff members.

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with parents, educators, community leaders, and other stakeholders to understand the unique needs and challenges of the teen demographic.
  • Seek partnerships with local schools, colleges, businesses, and other organizations that can offer resources, opportunities, or collaborations beneficial to the teen members.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with other non-profit organizations to enhance the range and quality of services available to teens.
  • Represent the organization in community events, workshops, or conferences related to teen development and empowerment.
  • Establishes and oversees external partnerships that can support effective teen engagement and programs.

Budgeting and Resource Allocation

  • Develop and manage the budget for teen programs across all locations.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation, prioritizing based on program impact and club needs.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Review Monthly Reports provided by Club staff for accuracy and communicate to ensure changes as needed.
  • Implements strategy to track and report grant deliverables. Oversees and monitors grant implementation performance to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in Grant Reporting for College, Career and Teen Programming
  • Communicates with club staff, members, and partner agencies to insure understanding of programs.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development and implementation across multiple locations or large geographic areas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Ability to travel regularly to different club locations.

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:

Community-based locations that serve youth, families and community members daily. Daily contact with club staff, club members, outside organizations and individuals to plan, coordinate with staff at varying levels. Travel to special events and field trips may be required. Must be available to work weekdays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
