Post Doctoral Associate - Proteomics

- Develop, test, and validate new methodologies using mass spectrometry for microbial metabolomics

- Establish a comprehensive target spectral library. The process involves ordering the compounds and optimizing them through mass spectrometry techniques.

- Prepare written SOPs documenting new methodologies; prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals 

- Other duties that may be assigned

$48,000 - $58,000 per year, commensurate with experience

- PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in proteomics or mass spectrometry in a research laboratory.

- Previous experience with protein sample preparation and fractionation

- Experience in mass spectrometry and metabolomic data analysis with conversancy in at least some of the following platforms: (Mascot, Scaffold, ProteinPilot, Proteome Discoverer, Compound Discoverer, Peak StudioX, MaxQuant, MS Fragger, DIA-nn) and acquisition (Xcalibur, timsControl, OtoControl, Hystar, Trace Finder)
