Job Description:


  • Independently execute research projects using cell and mouse models.

  • Maintain mouse colonies including setting up mating and genotyping.

  • Generate disease models and perform animal treatments.

  • Perform physiological, histological, immunological, biochemical, cellular and molecular analyses of study mice.

  • Conduct routine lab duties.

  • Performs experiments and collects and analyzes data. Participates in the promotion of a research project.

  • Collaborates on development of new research projects with academic and community-based organizations.

  • Performs other related work as needed.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience:

  • Completion of postdoctoral training.

  • Experience in studies with genetic mouse models.                 

Preferred Competencies

  • Strong research technical skills.

  • Strong background in biochemistry and cell biology.

  • Strong learning ability.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of immunology or molecular biology.

  • Knowledge/experience in mouse colony maintenance.
