Job Description:

The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking applications for a postdoctoral associate to study the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of retinal diseases and to develop novel therapeutic strategies under the PI direction of Dr. Qiuhong Li.

Responsible for all animal studies with rodent models, in vivo function evaluations, and tissue collections for biochemical, immunological, histological analyses. The work also requires extensive data analysis with molecular, cellular and biochemical assays on cultured cells and analysis of retinal samples.

Expected Salary:

$47,476 - $57,476 annually

Minimum Requirements:

A Ph.D. in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with significant experience in biomedical research. Training in molecular biology, vision research, and genetic models of retinal diseases is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates are dynamic and self-motivated individuals that can take ownership of the projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
