Provide statistical support for the OSU wheat breeding program. The position will lead efforts in developing an analytical strategy for designing breeding programs to attain particular goals and to evaluate the possible benefits of utilizing genomic selection in a breeding program based on costs. The position will conduct simulations to assess the relative value of different breeding schemes. The position is expected to publish research results. The position will mentor and train MS students in writing scripts and in their data analyses and contributing to other instructional activities

Required Experience

PhD in plant breeding, skills in writing scripts in R, ability to work with large marker data files and fastq files from sequencers
