Economics Adjunct Faculty
Job Description
Mountain Empire Community College invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach Economics 201 and 202 classes. We are seeking applicants available for on-campus, online, and clinical instruction for daytime and/or evenings and/or weekends. Salary is based on the academic preparation and work experience of the applicant and is determined according to the VCCS Adjunct Pay Schedule. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom/virtual/clinical environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.
Adjunct instructor positions available for various areas in the B&IT Division.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Master’s Degree in Economics with demonstrated competency in teaching field.
Experience with online learning.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
