Job Summary
The Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business is inviting applications for two multiyear postdoctoral fellowship positions. Post-doctoral fellows will focus on their own research while working closely with a faculty mentor.
Successful candidates should have a well-demonstrated interest in strategy and entrepreneurship. For one of the positions an interest in innovation is preferred. Candidates are expected to have completed their Ph.D. in strategy or economics by Summer 2024. The initial appointment is for two years, with an option for the department to extend a third. Start date is negotiable but anticipated to be July 1, 2024. Scholars are expected to be in residence during their tenure, participate in seminars, and contribute to the broader intellectual community. It is expected that fellows will teach one course during the appointment. In addition to a competitive salary and benefits package scholars will be provided a budget for research/conference related expenses.

Our current tenure line faculty include Jay Barney, Victor Bennett, Lyda Bigelow, Jen Brown, Colleen Cunningham, Jack Brittain, Josh Feng, Bill Hesterly, Matthew Higgins, Beverly Rich, Bill Schulze, Orie Shelef, Jason Snyder, Rob Wuebker, and Todd Zenger. While all self-identify as strategy and/or entrepreneurship scholars, our research focus is varied as reflected in the broad range of journals in which our faculty have published in recent years, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, American Economic Journals, American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Management Science, Organization Science, Research Policy, Review of Economics and Statistics, Review of Financial Studies, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and Strategic Management Journal.
Responsibilities
