Postdoctoral Scholar Department of Physiology-Vasoregulation - 230000024K 



Description

 

Postdoctoral position immediately available to study physiological functions and pathological alterations in endothelial cells. Projects include studying the regulation of arterial contractility by signaling and trafficking of proteins, including ion channels, in endothelial cells. Approaches include the extensive use of inducible and cell-specific knockout mouse models, molecular biology and biochemistry, immunofluorescence, super-resolution microscopy, high-speed dual-inverted lightsheet (diSPIM) calcium imaging, arterial myography and blood pressure telemetry. Lab members receive in-depth mentoring and training to pursue their career goals

 



Qualifications

 

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a PhD or MD in physiology or a related field. 

Experience with molecular biology, ion channel biochemistry, patch clamp, electrophysiology, and cardiovascular physiology preferred.
