Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will primarily work on an NSF grant-funded collaborative project focused on the development of an intelligent authoring platform and various game-based scenarios for teaching research methods at the undergraduate level. This project involves working with Co-PIs across four institutions. The Postdoctoral Researcher interested in teaching will have opportunities to give guest lectures or teach courses. The Postdoctoral Researcher will have the responsibility of the day-to-day mentoring of students on projects in the Decision Making, Advice, Automation, and Games (DAA'nG) Lab at UHCL.
Duties:
- Collaborate with postdoc mentor to complete NSF grant-related work. This work includes setting up research studies, running participants, attending weekly grant meetings with co-PIs, and creating game-based learning experiences.
- Analyze data from research experiments run in the lab and assist in writing manuscripts for papers from those data analyses.
- Coordinate efforts of graduate and undergraduate working on lab projects. Provide guidance on projects and assists in training necessary skills for lab-related work.
- Collaborate on designing new, non-grant related, research projects for the lab, including exploring topics of their own interest.
- Collaborate in grant-writing efforts and perform related duties as assigned.
Note: This position is grant funded and continuation is contingent upon future funding.

Desired:
Doctoral degree in Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Human Factors, Game Design, Decision Sciences or a related field.
