What We Are Looking For:
The College of Arts & Sciences Dean and Administration department is eagerly seeking candidates who are organized, motivated, and have a heart for service. As Assistant to the Associate Deans, you will be supporting the College of Arts & Sciences Executive Leadership with daily administrative operations such as handling departmental inquiries, scheduling, communicating with various faculty and staff,  analyzing and preparing reports, and providing meeting and event support.
An associate degree, 2 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant work experience are preferred. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do:

  • Support Arts & Sciences Executive leadership with daily administrative operations such as maintaining files and directories, record keeping, handling incoming department inquiries
  • Communicate with Associate Deans, shareholders, faculty, and staff through various channels of communication, including the Associate Dean Suite phone
  • Provide assistance to Associate Deans with Travel Plans and Expense Report documentation
  • Assist with Dean Events, Projects, and Correspondence
  • Provide scheduling assistance with Associate Deans’ Calendars for various meetings and appointments with campus shareholders, faculty, and staff
  • Assist Executive Assistant to the Dean with Chair Meeting duties
  • Provide assistance each semester with Tenure/Lecturer Review Letters, by revising, editing, and setting up Dean Letter templates for faculty in review process, and delivering final letters
  • Assist Financial Managers with Personnel requests, Work with Human Capital Management regarding personnel, and collaborate with Provost Office's Academic Coordinator
  • Effectively coordinate Adjunct and Postdoctoral Teaching Fellows’ Hiring and Faculty Teaching Overload submissions 
  • Train department on personnel procedures, and ensure procedures are updated regularly
  • Assist with Staff and Faculty Evaluation process, and coordinate departmental Adjunct Evaluations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission 
  • Ability to comply with University policies 
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
