Home Health Aide Daytime Instructors:

Kingsborough Community College’s Division of Workforce Development and Continuing Education is seeking a weekday/daytime Home Health Aide instructor for our Certified HHA program.

The HHA Instructor will be responsible for teaching students about the appropriate information in our training program, ensuring that the knowledge and skills taught are relevant and required for entry-level employment in the Home Health Aide field. Instructor is also expected to employ sound and ethical means to ensure a positive classroom environment that stimulates an engaging learning experience, while ensuring student knowledge retention.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Utilize classroom (or online forum), student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged classroom experience to students.

· Ensure that each student has been presented with the material to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course within a student’s program of study

· Supervise/Oversee the application of knowledge in the clinical lab portion of the course.

· Provide quality and technically relevant instruction, assessment, and feedback in lecture and laboratory.

· Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.

· Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process.

· Maintain attendance and provide other administrative paperwork and filing to the Division.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree

- Registered Nurse license required

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

· Previous teaching experience in a college and/or Adult Education Program

- Experience in Home Care Fields

· Experience with diverse youth and adult populations

· Experienced in online instruction via Zoom, Google Classroom, MS Teams or Moodle.

· 2+ years of instructional experience preferred.

Instructor must be available to provide instruction on campus at Kingsborough Community College OR offsite at a partner location and/or online.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract- Daytime shifts available.

Salary: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
