JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The laboratory of Dr. Joseph Reese in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an outstanding scientist to fill a Postdoctoral Research position to study the function of the multifunctional Ccr4-Not complex and the regulation of RNA polymerase II by cellular signals. The applicant will be a member of the highly interactive Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation .

Education and Experience

The position requires experience in molecular biology, protein purification, biochemistry, and approaches to study transcription factor binding to genes in cells. Experience studying transcription, RNA binding proteins, stress responses and genomics is desirable. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required. Applicants must have a publication or paper under review in English language journals.
