Position Description

The Yeh Laboratory at CSHL Cancer Center (http://yehlab.labsites.cshl.edu ) is looking for a Research Technician passionate about drug discovery research. Our lab is developing several cancer targeting strategies for new therapeutics development. The Research Technician will be part of our drug discovery research effort at CSHL Cancer Center. Research tasks include cell culture, biochemical assays, protein synthesis, purification and chemical modifications etc. Mentored research training will be provided. Candidates interested in chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, protein engineering are encouraged to apply.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree as Chemistry/Biochemistry major (or demonstrating the competency in Organic Chemistry), and successfully completed courses in organic chemistry with synthetic organic chemistry or bio-organic chemistry lab experiences.
Experience/Skills: Strong lab research experience and performance in bio-organic or organic chemistry is desired.
 
The Yeh Lab is a highly-collaborative environment with state-of-the-art facilities and expertise in biotherapeutics engineering and chemical biology. The Yeh Lab also engages in several close collaborations with other research groups at the Cancer Center. Group members enjoy the highly intellectual and collaborative interactions at CSHL.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 42,000 to 46,199 per annum. The salary range or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
