Position Qualification
Position Summary | A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center to investigate cell surface glycoproteins and glycans within the context of cardiovascular development and disease, including stem cell differentiation and advanced heart failure. Responsibilities: • Conduct research related to cell surface glycoprotein signaling in stem cell differentiation and cardiac disease. • Design and execute experiments related to discovery and validation of cell-type specific targets. • Independently drive research projects and participate in collaborative projects between our laboratory and other academic and industrial partners. • Act as a leader from the bench, driving research programs, strategies, and ideas to completion. • Attend scientific conferences and present results as talks and posters. • Summarize relevant research findings in publications. |
