Job Description

Position Title: Teaching Artist for Kung Fu, and Chinese Performing and Visual Arts

New York Chinese Cultural Center (NYCCC) is seeking creative and energetic teaching artists for the following:

  • ●  Kung fu

  • ●  Chinese dance

  • ●  Chinese yo-yo

  • ●  Calligraphy

  • ●  Ink brush painting

  • ●  Paper cutting/paper folding

    Teaching artist will teach at school workshops & residencies throughout New York City.

    An ideal candidate is able to connect and work well with grades K-8 students, by creating an entertaining and positive learning environment for the children to discover the joy in learning Chinese artforms and culture. Other important qualities include passion for teaching children, patience with children and creativity in lesson planning. Previous work experience with children is required.

    Pay rate: $50-$80 per hour
