The Department of Biology (https://biology.uncg.edu/ ) at UNC Greensboro seeks an individual with a strong record of accomplishment in the area of cell/molecular biology for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Successful applicants will be expected to develop an externally funded research program, mentor undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds, make significant contributions to our Ph.D. program, teach courses in cell biology and/or genetics, and specialty courses in their discipline. The scholarly environment in the Biology Department is highly collaborative with synergies among faculty in related disciplines. UNC Greensboro has excellent resources to support this position including molecular and cell biology equipment, microscopy and imaging equipment, shared equipment with the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, and a competitive startup package with excellent laboratory space.

The position is available August 1, 2024, and candidates must hold or anticipate a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Biology or related discipline by August 1. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
