Job Summary

Provides oversight of staffing, implementation, evaluation, compliance training, and adjustment of the daily operation and services of the Facilities Operations Department.
This position reports to the Director of Facilities Operations for the purpose of assisting and supporting the overall administrative duties of building maintenance, custodial, warehouse, TCC fleet, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with staffing, implementation, evaluation, compliance training, and any other administrative duties of daily operations and services
• Develops and implements departmental standard operating procedures, processes, guidelines, and workflows
• Develops, supports, and implements strategic and operational goals, objectives, measurements, targets, and improvements
• Prepares District Facilities Operations’ Institutional Effectiveness Plans (IEPs)
• Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure overall departmental performance
• Manages the ongoing Room Synchronization Process in support of the Scheduling and Facility Utilization (SFU) Principle
• Develops and administers an On-the-Job Training program for the operations staff in gaining hands-on experience, embracing changing technology, and assuring systems or equipment are operated and maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner
• Facilitates meetings with Planning Directors for the evaluation of the renovation, remodeling, and space use change requests
• Monitors the modular development of the Computerized Maintenance Management System, Fuel Management System, and expansion of the Preventative Maintenance Program including being the primary liason working with IT
• Monitors work order statistics to assure effective and timely evaluation, assignment, completion, and close-out of routine and preventative maintenance work; monitors survey results to assure customer satisfaction and identify service improvement areas
• Ensures TCC contracted custodial services are properly monitored to meet the contractual scope of work and budget
• Ensures implementation of the Materials Management Module. Develops warehouse operating procedures to effectively monitor the purchase and issue of warehouse items
• Investigates, documents, and resolves customer service issues
• Assists in the documentation of employee performance and behavior issues and complaints
• Prepares and conducts performance evaluations
• Writes, edits, and posts design standards as needed
• Prepares justifications, recommendations, and other departmental correspondence
• Assists in the maintenance management of the vehicle fleet
• Attends and facilitates meetings as necessary
• Responds to correspondence including emails, letters, and phone calls
• Ensure proper and regular timely communications between TCCD departments and supervisors through verbal and written means concerning projects and operational issues
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
• Attend the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and five (5) years of working experience in facility management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
• Experience with CAD, CMMS, Visio, and Adobe
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited college or university
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Professional (LSSBBP) Certified
• Project Managemt Professional (PMP) Certified

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
