The department of Physiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center seeks applicants for a postdoctoral position at the rank of Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct research in a NIH-funded project. The research area is Gastrointestinal Epithelial Biology (gut microbiota and mucosal barrier function).

Qualifications

Candidates with PhD degree in biomedical fields, with or without postdoctoral training are eligible to apply.

This position requires experience in intestinal organoid growth, cell culture, and mouse models of gastrointestinal diseases, preferably alcohol or radiation-induced tissue injury. Responsibilities include executing experiments in cell culture, organoid, and mouse models, training students, and participating in laboratory management.
