Job Purpose

 


Supports the Development Team in carrying out specific tasks to further the development strategy for TRM. Provides administrative support and assists with planning and implementation of projects and/or events.

Professionalism: Carries the current knowledge and operational skills required to perform well, utilizing best practices and demonstrates the desire to grow professionally. Helps create a safe space for Team Members to hold others accountable for behavior and performance, empathetically listens and communicates for understanding when negotiating and dealing with conflict. Setting the standard of quality, providing staff with feedback, coaching, guidance, and support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with, and in some instances, takes the lead alongside the Community Engagement team for event or project planning.
  • Analyzes donor activity to identify opportunities in coordination with Development team and Community Engagement team.
  • Relational interaction with donors.
  • Provides administrative support for the development team as needed, to include tasks related to gift entry, maintenance, reporting, and data review.
  • Assists with mail preparation, partner care needs, and other care and cultivation needs.
  • Assists as needed with staff meetings and leadership trainings (i.e. prints materials, coordinates meals for attendees, etc.).
  • Supports the overall strategic efforts of the Development team.

Working Conditions

 


Primarily office environment. Events may sometimes take place in nonstandard workplaces. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Proficient in CRM databases (Salesforce experience preferred), Google Drive, Google Calendar, Outlook, and other Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative, and think strategically and creatively.
  • Skilled in clear and effective written, verbal, and electronic communication.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment using effective and thoughtful interactions and communication.
  • Access to a vehicle for frequent travel throughout Pierce County and TRM locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Communicates information and ideas so others will understand. Exchanges accurate information in these situations.
  • Observes details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
