Job Description


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral scholar in bioinformatics to join Dr. Kaixiang Cao’s lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center at Case Western Reserve University. The Cao lab is interested in utilizing bioinformatic and computational tools to understand epigenetic mechanisms underlying cell fate transition and disease pathogenesis, with the long-term goal to translate our research to benefit patients and improve public health.  

The major research focuses of Cao lab are: 1) Understanding how epigenetic factors function in regulating transcription, chromatin structure, and cell fate; 2) Developing computational tools to decipher mechanisms underlying gene regulation, normal development, and human disease.

Successful candidates should have a PhD degree in bioinformatics and/or biological sciences with considerable experience in computational analysis of next generation sequencing (NGS) data. Experience with single cell sequencing data analyses is desirable but not required. Competitive salary will be provided and commensurate with experience.
