Salary Minimum: $20.49

Salary Maximum: $30.41

Salary Type: Hourly

Job Description

The Facilities department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment that is inclusive and meets the needs of diverse populations on campus. This position directs and supervises the facilities management and general services operations of the Facilities department. This position also supervises General Maintenance Workers on all shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a knowledge of, commitment to, and interest in diverse culture and populations

  • One year of supervisory experience OR at least two years lead work experience (experience needs to be within the last 3 years)

  • Problem solving skills sufficient to assess situations and solve them effectively

  • Thorough working knowledge in using a variety of cleaning methods, materials and equipment

  • Interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing and the ability to interact professionally to establish good working relationships with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner

  • Strong organizational, record keeping, inventory management and computer skills

  • Considerable knowledge of safety practices, applications and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as School Dude or equivalent

  • Prior budget experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires daily moving and/or transporting items up to 75 pounds (with assistance) on an irregular basis and 20-50 pounds on a regular basis.

NOTICE: In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business, whether using a personal, rental, or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a Vehicle Use Agreement check annually.
