Job Description:

The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida is recruiting for a full-time, Postdoctoral Associate position in our Forensic Toxicology Laboratory. This position will include the development and validation of analytical methods for the analysis of drugs and other substances in postmortem fluids and tissues using LC-MS/MS and LC-HRMS.

Duties:

The duties will include the development and validation of analytical methods for the analysis of drugs and other substances in postmortem fluids and tissues using LC-MS/MS and LC-HRMS. In addition, the incumbent is expected to develop additional independent projects that build upon the ongoing research in the laboratory, contributing their own expertise and important scientific questions in order to provide a productive experience and a foundation for career development in forensic toxicology. 

 

Expected Salary:

 NIH Rates commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field. Those with a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Toxicology are preferred.

Analytical chemistry and LC-MS experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agilent MassHunter, Waters MassLynx/TargetLnyx, and Thermo Scientific TraceFinder software is preferred.
